From Porto Alegre to the American Dream My name is Diego Conci, and I started tattooing over 20 years ago in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Back then, there were no online tutorials or tattoo courses, so I learned through dedication, practice, and the guidance of a close friend. As my skills grew, I opened my own studios and built a strong portfolio. Determined to take my career further, I sent my work to studios in the United States and received an opportunity to work in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The beginning was challenging. I didn’t speak English, and building a client base took time. Through persistence, effective marketing, and networking, I eventually opened my own studio and became a full-time tattoo artist. Over the years, I tattooed well-known clients from the UFC, YouTube, and television, earned industry recognition, won awards, and was featured in magazines. My professional achievements led to the approval of an EB-1 visa for individuals with extraordinary ability. Today, after years of hard work, I own my studio, home, and car in Colorado—all made possible through tattooing and the opportunities I found in the United States. My journey proves that with talent, dedication, and consistency, tattooing can open doors to extraordinary opportunities.
